The Israeli occupation forces’ storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque is a dangerous escalation and a violation of its sanctity

Rabat (INA) – Morocco expressed its strong condemnation of the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, yesterday, Sunday, by extremist Jewish groups under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces. A statement by the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: The Kingdom considers this storming a dangerous and unacceptable escalation that affects the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, with the aim of preparing for its seizure, by trying to divide it temporally and spatially, and demanded an end to all Israeli escalatory measures taken against the Palestinians aimed at imposing a new fait accompli on the ground. The statement added: Morocco, whose King Mohammed VI chairs the Jerusalem Committee, is following with great concern and preoccupation the process of storming the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque (...) by extremist Jewish groups, under the protection of Israeli forces that violently assaulted crowds of Palestinian worshipers. Morocco called on the international community to assume its responsibilities to protect the city of Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to stop all Israeli violations in order to avoid provoking the feelings of Muslims around the world, and undermining efforts and initiatives aimed at finding a final and just solution to the Palestinian cause.
