Ramallah (UNA/WAFA) – Since yesterday evening and until Sunday morning, the Israeli occupation forces launched a wide-scale campaign of arrests and field investigations, targeting at least 40 citizens from the West Bank, including children and former prisoners.
The Palestinian Prisoners' Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club stated that the arrests and field investigations were concentrated in the Hebron Governorate, while the remainder were distributed across the governorates of Nablus, Ramallah, Bethlehem, and Jerusalem.
The occupation forces continue their arrests and field investigations in the West Bank at an escalating pace, coinciding with the ongoing war of genocide against our people in Gaza. These operations are accompanied by field executions and the destruction of dozens of homes, particularly in the Jenin and Tulkarm governorates, which have witnessed widespread violence since the beginning of this year. Field investigations are also being escalated, accompanied by acts of abuse, severe beatings, and the detention of citizens as hostages.
It is worth noting that the number of arrests in the West Bank since the beginning of the war of extermination has reached approximately 17500, and includes those who were arrested and kept in detention by the occupation, as well as those who were later released. This data does not include the number of arrests from Gaza, which is estimated in the thousands.
