Baghdad (UNA/SPA) - The Iraqi government today condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli aggression against Iran, considering it a violation of the basic principles of international law and the United Nations Charter.
Iraqi government spokesman Bassem al-Awadi warned of the repercussions of Israeli attacks on Iran, considering them a threat to the security and stability of the region.
In an official statement issued today, Al-Awadi warned of further escalation in the region and the danger this poses to overall stability. He called on the international community and the Security Council to play their part in preserving peace, deterring Israel, and holding it fully responsible for the attack and its repercussions.
