
Jeddah (UNA) – The Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA) has launched a live broadcast service on its digital platform for Hajj and Umrah rituals from the holy sites.
The Director General of the Union, Mr. Mohammed bin Abdul Rabbo Al-Yami, explained that this service comes within the framework of the Union’s activities to provide live and immediate coverage of the Hajj season of 1446 AH, and to document the great efforts made by the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his faithful Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to serve pilgrims and provide all the facilities that enable them to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.
Al-Yami pointed out that the live broadcast service also enables news agencies of OIC member states to obtain a direct and reliable source for all Hajj-related news, contributing to strengthening the joint media efforts of news agencies in covering this great ritual.
On this occasion, Al-Yami praised the great efforts made by the official media system in the Kingdom, under the supervision and follow-up of His Excellency the Minister of Media and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Union, Mr. Salman Al-Dosari, to provide professional and expert coverage of the Hajj season.
Facilitating the work of journalists coming from all over the world to cover the Hajj.
The Union has also dedicated a special section on its digital platform for Hajj news, featuring various photos, videos, and press articles related to Hajj. The section is updated around the clock in the Union's three official languages (Arabic, English, and French), in addition to 48 other widely spoken international languages.
