Tehran (UNA-AS) – The Iranian mission to the United Nations called for an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council, after Israel launched airstrikes on several civilian sites and areas this morning.
According to the Iranian Mehr News Agency, the mission affirmed, in a letter to the Security Council presidency, that "Iran has the legitimate right to defend itself and respond to Israeli aggression."
