A training course in Sierra Leone on the reality of schools in the countryside

Rabat (INA) – The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) will hold, from May 23 to 26, a training course in the city of Tonkoleli, Republic of Sierra Leone, for teachers in rural areas in order to overcome shortages in classrooms. The session, which is held within the framework of the celebration of the city of Freetown as the capital of Islamic culture for the year 2016 AD for the African region, aims to identify the reality of schools in rural areas, and ways to manage the lack of classrooms in order to provide appropriate conditions for schooling for children. Twenty teachers from different regions of Sierra Leone are participating in the course, under the supervision of the Sierra Leone National Commission for UNESCO. (End) pg
