The Organization of Islamic Cooperation welcomes the decision of the Bahamas to recognize the State of Palestine

grandmother (UNA) - The Organization of Islamic Cooperation welcomed the decision of the Bahamas to recognize the State of Palestine, considering that this important step is consistent with international law and relevant United Nations resolutions, and contributes to affirming the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and supporting their just cause.

The organization appreciates such positions that support international efforts aimed at ending the Israeli colonial occupation of the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967 AD, including the city of Al-Quds Al-Sharif, and pushes towards achieving justice and freedom for the Palestinian people.

The organization also renewed its call on all countries of the world that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to take the initiative to announce this recognition in support of international efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability in the region on the basis of the vision of the two-state solution and the relevant resolutions of international legitimacy.
