Jeddah (UNA) - The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation affirmed that it is following with concern the recent developments in the Republic of Mali, following the outcome of the extraordinary summit of the West African Group (ECOWAS) held on January 9, 2022. The General Secretariat urged all concerned parties to spare no effort to reach To an agreement for a peaceful return to constitutional order in the Republic of Mali. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation expressed its readiness to support all efforts aimed at reaching a solution to this crisis in a way that preserves the security and stability of the Republic of Mali and the higher interests of its people. The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation also appreciated the efforts of the West African Group to maintain peace, security and stability in the region. (I finish)
