Jeddah (INA) - The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed its satisfaction with the conduct of the presidential elections in the Republic of Djibouti, which took place on Friday, April 8, 2016. The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Iyad Amin Madani, welcomed the spirit of democracy and calm that prevailed in the electoral process, and popular participation in the presidential elections, which reflects their commitment to the democratic process, appealing to the competing parties and their supporters to adhere to the democratic path. The Secretary-General also affirmed the organization's continuous support for establishing the foundations of democracy and development in the Republic of Djibouti.
