Pakistani exports increased by 7% during the first three quarters of the current fiscal year

Islamabad (UNA) - The Pakistani Bureau of Statistics revealed that the country's exports increased by 7.12% during the first three quarters of the current fiscal year (2020-2021), compared to the same period last year. According to the office, the volume of exports during the period between July-March (2020-21) amounted to 18.685 billion US dollars, compared to 17.443 billion dollars during the same period in the fiscal year (2019-20). Imports also increased during the aforementioned period by about 13.57%, from 34.791 billion dollars during the previous year to 39.512 billion dollars during the first three quarters of the current fiscal year. These figures indicate an increase in the country's trade deficit by about 20.05% during the first three quarters compared to the same period of the last fiscal year. More (End)
