OIC Secretary General Iyad Amin Madani commended all Gabonese voters for their dedication and commitment to democracy and the rule of law during the electoral process, urging all political parties to refrain from any acts of violence and to resort only to legal channels to address any political dispute to avoid jeopardizing the peace and stability they enjoy. Gabon over several decades at risk. In the same context, Madani indicated that the various presidential candidates must accept the results of the elections, which were expressed by the will of the people of Gabon, who demonstrated their political maturity throughout the electoral campaign and on election day. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has sent a team of election observers to Libreville to observe the presidential elections this year, as it did seven years ago in 2009 to encourage Gabon to continue its democratic path.
