ISESCO and AZERTAC sign an agreement for cooperation in media and publishing

Rabat (UNA) - The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) and the Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the media field, which includes the joint implementation of a number of practical programs and projects to train journalists and media professionals from ISESCO member states, in addition to Cooperation in organizing international conferences and workshops, and in the fields of publishing and production of media materials. After signing the Memorandum of Understanding, Dr. Salem bin Muhammad Al-Malik, Director General of ISESCO, affirmed that this agreement constitutes a start for building constructive cooperation between the organization and AZERTAC, and an embodiment of the distinguished relations between ISESCO and the Republic of Azerbaijan. He pointed out that this cooperation aims to establish programs and projects with tangible impact and great goals in the areas of capacity building, training and training for journalists and media professionals, adding: Supporting and training youth and investing in human resources comes at the forefront of ISESCO's new vision based on openness. For his part, Aslan Aslanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AZERTAC Agency, praised the prospects for cooperation with ISESCO, and said: The memorandum of understanding would deepen bilateral relations and provide opportunities for exchanging knowledge and experiences between representatives of the media in the Islamic world. He added: There has been fruitful and good cooperation between our country and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and ISESCO for many years. I am confident that the document we signed will give us media professionals a new opportunity to benefit from the rich experience that ISESCO enjoys in the fields of education, science and culture. In particular, joint projects and programs and exchange of knowledge will be useful to journalists of the member countries of the organization. The terms of the memorandum of understanding include cooperation between ISESCO and AZERTAC Agency, holding conferences, seminars, forums and training workshops, filming, producing and broadcasting media materials, and digital and paper publishing. A joint committee will be formed between the two parties that will be responsible for following up and supervising all stages of implementation of the terms of the memorandum of understanding, developing a work plan based on results, preparing a timetable for project implementation, specifying its methods, and preparing and submitting periodic reports to officials from both sides on the status of implementation work progress and project evaluation. and programs.
