Oil production will rise faster than global demand in 2018

Paris (INA) – The International Energy Agency announced today, Wednesday, that global oil production will increase at a faster rate than global demand in the coming year, especially as American producers accumulate production, which could hinder efforts by exporters to improve prices. In the wake of the announcement by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) that the increase in oil production in the United States hinders efforts to achieve a balance between supply and demand in the market, the International Energy Agency indicated that the move of American producers may pose problems for exporters. The agency said in its monthly report – quoted by Agence France-Presse: In the year 2018, we expect an increase in the production of non-OPEC countries, slightly higher than the expected increase in global demand. And she explained: The evaluation also for the year 2018 does not indicate that these producers intend to reduce supply. (End) Pm / h p
