
Jeddah (UNA) - The Union of Radio and Television of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is organizing, on Thursday (May 16, 2024), a training course entitled “Sports Event Broadcasting Skills”, in cooperation with the Russian Sputnik Agency.
The course comes within the framework of training media professionals in all OIC countries, with the aim of developing sports journalists’ skills in writing, strengthening their capabilities in broadcasting and sports commentary, in addition to familiarizing them with all quality requirements in covering sporting events.
This course is presented by Denis Kazansky, a sports commentator for the Russian Channel One, who has worked in covering sports events for more than 20 years, and Oleg Dmitriev, a consultant at the Rossiya Segodnya Agency, who holds a doctorate in media.
The head of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Radio and Television Union, Dr. Amr Al-Laithi, explained that this session is one of OSPO’s steps in keeping pace with everything new in the field of sports media.
