
Rabat (UNA) – The Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA) participated on Monday, June 22, 2026, in the high-level panel discussion “Jerusalem: A Global Narrative for Peace,” organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency in the Moroccan capital, Rabat.
The Director General of the Union, Professor Muhammad bin Abdul Rabbo Al-Yami, affirmed during a paper he delivered on this occasion that Jerusalem represents a global symbol of peace and coexistence, stressing the importance of concerted media, educational and cultural efforts to enhance the status of the holy city and protect its historical and cultural identity.
He called for the use of digital media, artificial intelligence, and cultural and creative industries to highlight the civilizational and human dimension of Jerusalem, and to enhance its presence in global consciousness as a symbol of tolerance and dialogue between civilizations.
Al-Yami also reviewed the efforts of the UNA Union in supporting the Palestinian cause, most notably the opening of its office in Ramallah and the launch of the media guide to Palestinian issue terms, stressing the Union’s readiness to cooperate in implementing initiatives that contribute to supporting Jerusalem and enhancing its global status.
