
Jeddah (UNA) – His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Abdulrab Al-Yami, Director General of the Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA), praised the exceptional efforts made by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman – may God protect them – in serving the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God, stressing that these efforts represent a pioneering model in organization, management and service integration at the global level.
The Director General of the Union of Arab Pilgrims (UNA) said in a press statement today: “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provides every year the highest meanings of care and attention to the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God, starting with facilitating arrival procedures, passing through providing modern means of transportation, suitable housing, advanced health services, and ending with ensuring their safety and comfort while performing their rituals, in light of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which has made serving the Two Holy Mosques and the pilgrims an absolute priority.”
He added: “The efforts of the state agencies participating in the Hajj season deserve all appreciation, as various sectors – from the Ministry of Interior, Defense, Health, Transport, the Saudi Red Crescent, the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, and others – cooperate within an integrated system to ensure that pilgrims perform their rituals with ease and safety, and that they are transported smoothly and with high professionalism.”
Al-Yami explained that the Union, through its network of member news agencies, is keen to convey this honorable image to the international media, and to highlight the smart technologies and solutions that the Kingdom uses in managing crowds and logistics, as well as the unprecedented facilities it has provided to pilgrims from all countries of the Islamic world.
The Director General called on all media outlets in member states to highlight the humanitarian sacrifices and field efforts made by the agencies working in Hajj, which embody the meaning of Islamic solidarity and sincere service, congratulating the leaders of the Kingdom and its brotherly people on the expected success of this season, and praising the generous care and great hospitality that the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God have experienced.
