Tashkent (UNA) – The Acting Director General of the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA), Mohammed bin Abdurabuh Al-Yami, met on Friday with the Director General of the Uzbekistan News Agency, Abdulsaid Kushimov, at the agency’s headquarters in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent.
During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cooperation between the two sides in areas of common interest, especially in the field of news exchange and training.
Al-Yami also briefed Cochimov on the Union's new digital platform and the possibilities it provides for publishing news in twenty international languages, including the Uzbek language.
Cochemov appreciated the federation's role in consolidating international media relations between member states, and in strengthening professional ties between workers in the media field, stressing his country's keenness to support the federation to carry out its tasks.
