The Consul of Lebanon in Jeddah visits the “UNA” federation

Jeddah (UNA) - The Consul General of Lebanon in Jeddah, Walid Minkara, visited today the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA), and was received by the Acting Director General of the Union, Muhammad Abed Rabbo Al-Yami. The meeting reviewed the stages that the union went through regarding coverage of the news of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the cultural relations between them, in addition to the issues of the Islamic world. Al-Yami reviewed the role of Yuna in providing media strategic advice to member states through representatives of official national news agencies, in addition to presenting a number of courses to be held in the coming period. Al-Yami appreciated the support of the Saudi Minister of Information, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Union, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, and the Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, Acting Chairman of the Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Fahd bin Hassan Al-Aqran, for the Union’s plans to be a major media platform for member states, and to advance the media industry, as a starting point.
