The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation condemns the bloody attack on the international forces in Mali

Jeddah (UNA) - The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Dr. Youssef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted members of the French forces of Operation Barkhane and Malian soldiers belonging to a joint patrol in Gao, which resulted in deaths and injuries on Sunday, July 1, 2018. Dr. Al-Othaimeen expressed his absolute rejection of this attack. Explaining that the perpetrators of these terrorist acts are enemies of peace in this country. He also stressed that the terrorist groups that commit these desperate acts will be held responsible for the deterioration of the security situation in various parts of Mali. The Secretary-General of the organization expressed his sincere condolences to the bereaved families. Wishing a speedy recovery to the injured, and affirming the permanent support of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for all efforts and initiatives aimed at achieving peace and stability in Mali and other countries in the region.
