Chahed inaugurates the City of Culture in Tunisia

Tunisia (UNAToday, Friday, Tunisian Prime Minister Youssef Chahed inaugurated the first part of the City of Culture in the capital, Tunis, whose implementation had stalled for several years. Chahed said in a press statement after the completion of the inauguration, that it can be said that Tunisia has become a cultural city, after the delivery of the first part, and the completion of the entire work by 80 percent. He added that the official inauguration of the City of Culture will be on February 28, 2018, according to Anadolu Agency. And he indicated that the first part that was received includes ready-made cinema halls and cultural spaces equipped with the best modern technology used in the field of culture. The value of investments in the project amounted to about 125 million Tunisian dinars (50 million US dollars), according to the prime minister. The project includes an opera hall with a capacity of 700 seats, a theater hall with a capacity of 700 seats, in addition to a number of other halls dedicated to plastic arts, cinema and theater.
