Makkah (UNA) – The Presidency of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque announced that Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz has approved Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Hamid, Imam and Preacher of the Grand Mosque, to deliver the Arafat sermon for this year’s Hajj 1446 AH.

His Excellency the President of the Religious Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, expressed his thanks and appreciation, on his own behalf and on behalf of the imams, preachers, and muezzins of the Two Holy Mosques, as well as the Presidency’s male and female staff, to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his faithful Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect them - for choosing His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Humaid, Imam and Preacher of the Grand Mosque, as the preacher for the Day of Arafah during this year’s Hajj. This choice confirms the Kingdom’s global religious and cultural leadership, supports the Religious Presidency, and embodies the interest of the wise leadership - may God support it - in the Two Holy Mosques, and enhances the delivery of their moderate message to humanity, given the lofty status the Two Holy Mosques hold in the hearts of Muslims all over the world.
