The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemns the Israeli occupation's massacre of displaced people in the Al-Rimal neighborhood and calls for international action to stop its crimes.

Ramallah (UNA/WAFA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the heinous crime committed by the Israeli occupation forces on Saturday evening, when they targeted tents sheltering displaced people near the Al-Rimal Preparatory School for Boys in the Al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City, resulting in the martyrdom of six citizens, including two women, and the injury of at least 15 others, most of whom were children.

The Ministry believes that targeting shelters for displaced people, including children, women, and families who have lost their homes, falls within the framework of the ongoing genocide against our Palestinian people, and reflects a blatant disregard for the rules of international humanitarian law and the obligations incumbent upon the occupying power, as well as deepening the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, and ignoring the plan of US President Donald Trump and the Security Council resolutions, including Resolution 2803.

In a statement issued today, Sunday, the Ministry held the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for this crime and all other crimes committed against our people, stressing that the continued impunity encourages the repetition and escalation of massacres against Palestinian civilians and undermines any opportunities for a just peace and justice.

The ministry called on the mediating and guarantor states, foremost among them the United States, to take immediate action and pressure Israel, the occupying power, to stop its crimes against Palestinian civilians, ensure full compliance with relevant international resolutions, and secure the immediate and sustained entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip without restrictions.

It also renewed its demand for the international community to take urgent and effective action and activate international accountability mechanisms in order to immediately stop all violations, practices, policies and systematic crimes committed against our people in the Gaza Strip, and to ensure the sustainable flow of humanitarian aid without restrictions, and the entry of basic materials of shelter, treatment and relief, leading to a comprehensive cessation of aggression, a complete Israeli withdrawal, recovery and reconstruction, securing international protection for our Palestinian people, and the realization of their independent state on the borders of June 4, 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital.
