Jeddah (UNA) - The Director General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security, His Excellency Ambassador Beric Erin, visited the headquarters of the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA) in Jeddah on Tuesday, where he was received by the Director General of the Union, Mr. Mohammed Abdrabuh Al-Yami.
During the meeting, the Director General of UNA reviewed the Union’s programmes and vision for promoting media work in Islamic countries and enhancing cooperation in the media field among member states.
During the meeting, aspects of cooperation between the two bodies working within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation were discussed, in a way that serves their common goals.
In this context, the Director General of the Union reviewed the plan of “UNA” to serve the Islamic Organization for Food Security in the media and highlight its great efforts in enhancing food security in the Islamic world.
For his part, His Excellency the Ambassador praised the roles of “UNA” in supporting member states in the media fields, stressing his keenness to enhance cooperation between the two bodies.
