“Yona” and “Sputnik” hold a workshop on the pros and cons of artificial intelligence in creating news content

Jeddah (UNA) – The Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA) will hold a workshop on Monday, November 11, 2024, entitled “Pros and Cons of Artificial Intelligence in Creating News Content.”

The workshop aims to learn about artificial intelligence techniques in journalism and explore the positives.
The role of artificial intelligence in improving the efficiency of journalism and saving time versus challenges and risks, in addition to identifying practical skills on how to integrate artificial intelligence in a responsible and effective manner in producing high-quality news content, and discussing the future of journalism on how future artificial intelligence developments will affect and strategies for adapting to these changes.

The Director General of the Federation of OIC News Agencies, His Excellency Mr. Muhammad bin Abd Rabbuh Al-Yami, explained that the workshop comes as an extension of a number of joint programs between “UNA” and “Sputnik” to present media concepts and applications related to artificial intelligence to journalistic practitioners, and to discuss policies and issues related to benefiting from artificial intelligence in Media work in its various forms.
