Jeddah (UNA) - Assistant to the Pakistani Prime Minister for Media Affairs, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, visited the pavilion of the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA) within the third session of the organization's festival held since yesterday, November 25, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on the occasion of the organization's celebrations of the 50th anniversary of its creation. The Assistant Prime Minister of Pakistan, who was accompanied by the Pakistani Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Raja Ali Ijaz, praised the UNA pavilion for the various pictures it contained from various news agencies in the OIC countries, including pictures from the Pakistan News Agency that reflect the civilizational and cultural diversity in Pakistan and the rest of the Islamic countries. Awan said in remarks on the sidelines of her participation in the launch of the organization's golden jubilee celebrations: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation is a platform for uniting the Islamic world, and that Pakistan, as a founding member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, played a vital role in promoting religious, cultural and social values ​​among the member states of the organization. She stressed that given the current international scenario, there is an urgent need to strengthen unity among Islamic countries. She also stressed the need to strengthen the true image and message of Islam to deal with the issue of fear of Islam (Islamophobia), and Firdous Ashiq urged the aides of the OIC member states to help alleviate the suffering of Kashmiris in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
