Astana (UNA) – The Television and Radio Complex of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan has announced the opening of submissions for the first edition of the Astana International Artificial Intelligence Film Festival (AAIFF 2026), which will be held in the Kazakh capital Astana from September 28 to October 1, 2026.
The festival is one of the most prominent international events specializing in visual content produced using generative artificial intelligence technologies, as it aims to provide a global platform that brings together digital filmmakers, creators, developers, leading technology companies, artificial intelligence labs and media institutions from around the world.
The organizers explained that the festival focuses on cinematic works that employ artificial intelligence technologies in the various stages of production, reflecting the rapid transformations taking place in the creative industries and digital media sector globally.
The festival management has allocated total prizes worth one million US dollars, making it one of the largest international festivals specializing in artificial intelligence films in terms of prize value, and giving participants the opportunity to present their work to an elite group of experts, investors and specialists in the fields of technology and media production.
The organizing committee invited creators, digital content makers, artificial intelligence technology developers, media and academic institutions to submit their work and participate in this international event, which represents an important platform for showcasing modern innovations, exchanging experiences and building partnerships in the field of AI-powered visual production.
