COMSTECH Calls for Applications for the Prestigious COMSTECH Award 2025 to Recognize Scientific Excellence in OIC Member States

ISLAMABAD (UNA) – The Standing Committee for Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMSTECH) has announced the opening of nominations for the COMSTECH Awards 2025, a unique initiative presented annually to recognize exceptional contributions in the fields of science and technology across OIC member states. The awards aim to honor individuals and institutions who have made significant contributions in various scientific fields, and seek to promote excellence in research and innovation in the region.

The COMSTECH Awards 2025 include several categories, including the Lifetime Achievement Award in Biology and Chemistry, which will be presented by the COMSTECH Chairman, the President of Pakistan, during the General Assembly session. Other categories include the COMSTECH Young Investigator Award (for researchers under the age of XNUMX), Best Scientific Book, Best Patent, Best Scientific Research Paper in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics, in addition to the Excellence in Science Communication Award, which honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to academia, journalism, outreach, and filmmaking.

Each winner will receive a certificate of appreciation, a shield of honor, and a cash prize ranging from US$2500 to US$8000, making it a prestigious recognition of scientific achievements in OIC countries. These awards reflect COMSTECH’s unwavering commitment to supporting scientific innovation, fostering collaboration, and encouraging research progress in the Islamic world.

Science academies, national research councils, universities, research institutions and eminent scientists in OIC member states are invited to submit nominations for the COMSTECH Awards 2025. All applications must be submitted no later than Monday, 31 March 2025. This is a unique opportunity for outstanding individuals and groups to be recognized for their contributions to the advancement of scientific knowledge.
