Algeria: Severe penalties for negligent agencies in the right of pilgrims

Algiers (INA) – The Algerian government has threatened tourism agencies that neglected the pilgrims and did not take good care of them, with severe penalties after returning from performing the Hajj rituals. Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts Nouria Yamina Zerhouni said, on the sidelines of the signing of a partnership agreement between the Algerian company Rania Land and the Spanish Vogue Barcelo, with the aim of hotel management, that tourism agencies are obligated to take care of the pilgrims and carry out all their duties towards them, in the best conditions. Zerhouni stressed that the time has come to improve the management of hotel establishments in order to raise the quality of services, which we aspire to move to the global level in order to manage the largest number of service facilities according to international standards, which benefit the tourism sector in Algeria with the aim of encouraging foreign and local investment and advancing the tourism sector.
