Council of Senior Scholars: It is not permissible to go to Hajj without a permit, and whoever is unable to obtain a permit is considered unable

Riyadh (UNA/SPA) - The Council of Senior Scholars confirmed that the obligation to obtain a Hajj permit and the commitment of those who go to the Holy Sites to do so is consistent with the interest required by Sharia, as Sharia came to improve and multiply interests and prevent and reduce evils, and made it clear that it is not permissible to go to Hajj without obtaining a permit, and the one who does it is sinful. Whoever is unable to obtain the permit is considered unable.

This came in a statement issued by the Council of Senior Scholars, today, based on what was presented by representatives of the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, and the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, regarding the challenges and risks when not complying with issuing the permit.

She said: The obligation to obtain a Hajj permit is based on what Islamic Sharia stipulates to make it easy for people to perform their worship and rituals and relieve them of hardship. The obligation to obtain a Hajj permit came with the intention of organizing the number of pilgrims in a way that enables these large crowds to perform this ritual in peace and safety, and this A valid legal purpose determined by Sharia evidence and rules.

She added that the obligation to obtain a Hajj permit and the commitment of those visiting the Holy Sites to do so is consistent with the interest required by law, as the government agencies concerned with organizing the Hajj draw up the plan for the Hajj season with its multiple aspects, security, health, accommodation and food, and other services, according to the authorized numbers, and whenever the number of pilgrims is In accordance with what was authorized, this would ensure the quality of services provided to pilgrims, prevent great harm from sleeping on the roads, which hinders their movement and arrival, and reduce the risks of crowding and crowding that lead to death.

The Council of Senior Scholars stated that the obligation to obtain a permit for Hajj is obedience to the ruler in due course, as the Commission was informed of the great damages and multiple risks in the event of non-compliance with obtaining the permit, which affects the safety and health of pilgrims, and this clarifies: Hajj without a permit is not limited to the harm resulting from it. On the pilgrim himself, but his harm extends to other pilgrims who adhered to the system, and it is established by Sharia that negligent harm is greater sin than minor harm.

Accordingly, the Council of Senior Scholars confirms that it is not permissible to go to Hajj without obtaining a permit, and the one who does it is sinful because it violates the order of the guardian, which was issued only to achieve the public interest.

The Council of Senior Scholars said in its statement: We recommend to all Muslims to fear God Almighty, and to those who want to perform the Hajj of the Sacred House of God, to fear God when performing this great ritual, to safeguard their Hajj, and to adhere to the regulations and instructions that have been issued to enable them to perform this ritual in safety, ease, and tranquility.
