The Nigerian Ambassador presents his credentials to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation

Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Dr. Yusuf bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, received today, Monday, in his office at the General Secretariat in Jeddah, Ambassador Issa Muhammad Dudu, the new Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Permanent Representative of Nigeria to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. During the meeting, the envoy presented his credentials and expressed his country's praise for the efforts of the Secretary-General for his leadership of the organization. He reaffirmed Nigeria's commitment to the ideals of the organization and his intention to strengthen relations with the organization. He also requested the support of the Secretary-General to make his mission a success. For his part, Al-Othaimeen congratulated the new ambassador on his appointment, and praised the organization's ties with Nigeria, which he described as a very important member state, with a leading role in the areas of security and peace in the region. He also expressed his solidarity with Nigeria and the determination of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to help it overcome its current challenges, especially the fight against terrorism.
