The European Bank invests $200 million in the Egyptian energy field

Cairo (United Arab Emirates) - Egyptian Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Dr. Sahar Nasr signed today, with the Director of Natural Resources Department at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Eric Ramussen, an agreement to invest in supporting energy efficiency for a company specialized in the petroleum industry, at a value of $200 million. The agreement aims to invest in energy efficiency and improve the efficiency of its use and the consequent reduction of environmental emissions that cause climate change and are harmful to public health and the local environment, to modernize and support oil sector companies to increase production and produce high-quality fuel compatible with international standards, in addition to supporting Egypt’s transformation into a regional center for energy exchange.
