Kuala Lumpur (UNA) – His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Salah Al-Badr, Imam and Khateeb of the Prophet’s Mosque, stressed that God Almighty has commanded His servants in His Noble Book to engage in acts of obedience and good deeds. He has also commanded them to unite and unite, and has forbidden them from division and disagreement. He has urged them to be brothers who love one another for the sake of God’s glory, to unite for the sake of God, and to cooperate in righteousness and piety.
His Eminence added in the Friday sermon he delivered today at the Putra Mosque in Kuala Lumpur that the most evil person is he who seeks to destroy his country, undermine its security, destabilize its peace, and fight its people. He stressed that the nation will not be united by an ignorant person who ignites and incites discord, nor by one who alienates people from religion through harshness and severity, nor by an indecent person who transgresses people’s boundaries and deliberately insults them, nor by an enemy who has penetrated discordant hearts and separated ranks, nor by a man who feeds on knowledge and intrudes on piety.
His Eminence warned against advocates of misguidance and dissolution, and advocates of corruption, atheism, division and dispersion, stressing the need to be wise, prudent, moderate and balanced.
His Eminence continued, saying: “Enjoining upon one another compassion is a great virtue and a noble act of devotion,” citing the words of God Almighty in His perfect Book: “Then he was among those who believed and enjoined upon one another patience and enjoined upon one another compassion. Those are the companions of the right hand.”
He added, “The believer is generous and refrains from harming others, and refraining from harming others is one of the best qualities of Islam. He urged not to harm a Muslim, not to falsely accuse him, not to slander him, not to belittle him or diminish him, and to follow the path of goodness and guidance, and to beware of the path of evil, transgression, and temptation.”
His Eminence added, urging people to give and be generous, “Have mercy on the ignorant with your knowledge, on the needy with your influence, on the poor with your money, on the elderly with your respect, on the young with your compassion, on the sinners with your supplication, and on animals with your kindness. The people closest to God’s mercy are the most merciful to His creation. Whoever has abundant compassion for His creation and mercy for His servants - God will have mercy on him with His mercy, admit him into His abode of honor, protect him from the torment of his grave and the horror of his situation, and shelter him with His shade.”
His Eminence concluded by praying for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince - may God protect them - in recognition of their efforts in serving the Two Holy Mosques and supporting the causes of the Islamic nation.
His Eminence then led the prayers at the Putra Mosque in Kuala Lumpur. The Friday prayer was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Religious Affairs, Dato' Mohd Na'im, and a large crowd of Malaysian worshippers.
