Djibouti (Enya) - Djibouti has confirmed that it is safe from the risk of transmission of the Ebola virus, which has killed 1900 people, according to estimates by the World Health Organization. The Djibouti Minister of Health, Dr. Kassem Ishaq Othman, indicated, in a press statement, that there are what he called real threats posed by the arrival of the Ebola virus in Djibouti, especially after it invaded a number of countries located in West Africa, noting that the official numbers recorded for the victims of this virus exceeded three thousand. injured in the mentioned countries. And it was stated in the statement, which was published by the local newspaper, Al-Qarn, that Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh directed the concerned authorities to expedite effective steps to protect the people from the dangers of this deadly virus. In this context, the Djiboutian Ministry of Health has tightened control over all entry points into the country, by conducting the necessary medical examinations on any person coming from countries where the epidemic has spread. The Ministry has equipped ambulances at the border points in accordance with international standards, to protect against the virus, and has also adopted a free hotline (118) to report any suspected case.
