The Pakistani army calls on the international community to help resolve the Kashmir issue

Islamabad (INA) – The leadership of the Pakistani army called on the international community to intervene in the crisis situation in the Kashmir region, and to help resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with the resolutions of the UN Security Council. This came during a meeting of the leaders of the military corps of the Pakistani army at the headquarters of the General Command of the army in the city of Rawalpindi, headed by the Chief of Staff of the Army, General Raheel Sharif. A statement issued by the Media Department of the Pakistani Army stated that the military leadership strongly condemned the violent acts of Indian forces against peaceful demonstrations that took place in the Indian-controlled part of Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of dozens of civilians and the injury of hundreds. He called on the Army Chief of Staff, General Raheel Sharif, the international community to respect the desire of the Kashmiri people and support their legitimate right to self-determination.
