The Palestinian Minister of Awqaf announces the opening of registration for the Hajj season

Ramallah (INA) – The Palestinian Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, Sheikh Yusuf Idais, announced the opening of registration for the current Hajj season 2016 AD / 1437 AH, for Palestinian population groups that do not have previous registrants for Hajj, starting from the day after tomorrow, Wednesday, and continuing until the end of Thursday from next week. During his inauguration of a workshop to complete the registration arrangements for pilgrims today, Monday, Idais explained that the number of targeted communities is 253 distributed in the governorates of Palestine, and the rest of the communities that have not been registered, the names will be chosen from each population according to the numerical sequence in each community, including Proportionate to the share assigned to him, in preparation for announcing the names according to the rules. Idais called on the citizens who will be fortunate to perform the ritual, to complete the control of their documents, and to adhere to the instructions of the current ministry, hoping that their Hajj will be accepted and their sins forgiven. The Assistant Undersecretary for Hajj and Umrah, Hossam Abu Al-Rub, indicated that the registration will take place in the Awqaf directorates in which there is a registration, and then all names will be dealt with after completing the registration process, in preparation for conducting the electronic lottery at the Ministry of Awqaf headquarters. Abu Al-Rub added that the registration will be for one time only, and it will not be taken into account in the coming years, and it will be only for those who did not perform the obligatory prayer previously, unless it is forbidden for a woman who did not perform the obligatory prayer.
