The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation offers his condolences to the State of Qatar on the death of the Father Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

Jeddah (UNA) – The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mr. Hussein Ibrahim Taha, expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the State of Qatar, its leadership, government and people, on the death of the Father Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

The Secretary-General extended his condolences to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, and to the noble ruling family and the Qatari people, asking God Almighty to have mercy on the deceased and grant him His pleasure, to place him in His spacious Paradise, and to inspire his family with patience and solace.

His Excellency praised the efforts of the late Father Emir and his historic role in the modern renaissance and development of the State of Qatar, and his steadfast positions in supporting joint Islamic action and strengthening solidarity among the member states of the organization, stressing that the Arab and Islamic nations have lost a wise leader who dedicated his life to serving his country and the just causes of his nation.
