The 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum witnessed the signing of 166 investment agreements with a total value of $43.1 billion.

Tashkent (UNA) – The 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum concluded with a remarkable achievement, witnessing the signing of 166 investment agreements with a total value of US$43.1 billion.

These figures represent not only the outcome of a three-day business program, but also a broader and deeper trend: international interest in Uzbekistan is increasingly translating into concrete investment decisions, specific sectoral projects, and long-term partnerships. This is particularly significant for the fifth edition of the forum; in recent years, it has evolved from a platform for promoting investment opportunities in Uzbekistan into a prominent international business forum where potential is discussed through existing projects, financial mechanisms, industrial cooperation, and actionable agreements.

The size of the forum clearly reflects this development. In 2026, the number of registered participants exceeded 10,409, while Tashkent received 3,802 foreign delegates from 102 countries. The forum hosted 1,050 foreign delegates in 2022, 1,142 in 2023, 1,874 in 2024, and 2,022 in 2025. Over four years, international participation more than tripled.

However, the true value of this growth lies not only in the numbers but also in the change in the nature of the participants. The forum was attended by 3,145 representatives from real-sector companies, an increase of 1,480 compared to the previous year.

Tashkent hosted representatives from major global companies and financial institutions, with the combined assets managed by the participating companies estimated at around $42 trillion, confirming that Uzbekistan’s investment agenda is of interest to institutions concerned with long-term capital, large infrastructure projects, industrial solutions, and global financial frameworks.

The high-level political participation of the attendees further enhanced the forum's prestige. The event saw the participation of 76 high-ranking government officials, compared to only 26 the previous year. The plenary session, featuring the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, along with senior officials from Albania, Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, formed the forum's main focus. This level of participation contributed to closely linking the investment agenda with trade and economic cooperation, energy sector development, and the strengthening of long-term regional integration.

The forum's program saw significant expansion, encompassing 79 events, including 34 panel discussions, 8 investment project presentations, and 7 major bilateral business forums that brought Uzbekistan together with the United States, China, South Korea, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Discussions focused on vital sectors for sustainable economic development, such as renewable energy, strategic minerals, digital public administration, artificial intelligence, Islamic finance, agribusiness, and food security.

An important addition to the forum's agenda was the Uzbekistan Investment Potential Exhibition, which showcased the country's advanced capabilities in agriculture, agricultural manufacturing, electrical engineering, chemical industries, geology, energy, artificial intelligence, and information technology.

A significant part of the forum's practical success stems from the fact that Uzbekistan's relations with investors extend beyond events and conferences, relying instead on ongoing institutional dialogue, such as that provided by the Council of Foreign Investors. Recently, the number of member companies in the Council has increased from 54 to 85, representing 19 countries and 23 economic sectors. The Council has already contributed to the development of 21 initiatives and the enactment of 8 new laws and regulations.

Alongside the official program, informal networking events, such as the TIIF Open tennis tournament and the Silk Road Night Run international marathon, attracted over 500 participants from more than 16 countries. Global media presence also doubled; in 2026, the forum was covered by 209 foreign journalists and media professionals from 41 countries, representing 123 international media organizations.

The most significant conclusion of the Tashkent International Investment Forum 2026 is that Uzbekistan is steadily transitioning from strategic investment positioning to practical implementation. The focus has shifted from simply showcasing potential and opportunities to demonstrating the capacity to build viable partnerships and create a transparent operating environment. The $43.1 billion in signed agreements is not merely a statistic, but the strongest evidence of the success of this transformation.
