The Islamic Bank Institute and the Islamic Finance Centre of Tanzania establish a strategic partnership on Islamic finance.

Baku (UNA) – The Islamic Development Bank Institute, a member of the Islamic Development Bank Group, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Islamic Finance, Compliance and Advisory Centre in Tanzania, with the aim of strengthening cooperation in the areas of Islamic finance development, capacity building, professional certifications, research and knowledge dissemination.

This partnership, signed on Thursday, July 2, 2026, seeks to leverage the complementary strengths of the two institutions to promote excellence in Islamic finance education and professional development in Tanzania, thereby contributing to the broader goals of sustainable and inclusive economic development in the Bank’s member countries.

In this context, the Acting Director General of the Islamic Development Bank Institute, Dr. Sami Al-Suwailem, pointed out that investing in talent, knowledge and human capital is one of the most important pillars of sustainable growth for Islamic finance, and promotes knowledge, professional excellence and innovation.

For his part, Arif Nahdi, President of the Center for Islamic Finance, Compliance and Advisory, stressed the importance of this cooperation in raising the level of globally recognized professional standards and competencies in this sector, noting that this partnership reflects our shared commitment to preparing leaders and practitioners capable of contributing effectively to the development of Islamic finance and its role in addressing contemporary economic and social challenges.
