Sana'a (INA) - The Yemeni Astronomical Society said that Sunday, corresponding to June 29, will be the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan for this year 1435 AH. The association added, in a statement today, that the current month of Sha'ban will be 30 days. As the difference between the setting of the crescent moon and the setting of the sun does not exceed four minutes, which makes seeing the crescent impossible even with modern binoculars. The statement indicated that the age of the crescent between its birth and sunset does not exceed 7 hours and 32 minutes, considering that July 29 will be the first day of the month of Shawwal (Eid al-Fitr), as the blessed month of Ramadan will complete 30 days.
