The Moroccan Foreign Minister is holding talks with the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development

Rabat (UNA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, held, Monday, via videoconference, talks with the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Odile Reuno-Basso. According to a statement by the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bourita praised, during the meeting, the new strategy of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which includes strategic areas such as the transition to a green and digital economy. Bourita also praised the positive dynamic of cooperation between Morocco and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the bilateral and tripartite levels, stressing that this cooperation was particularly strengthened during the Covid-19 pandemic, which posed challenges and also provided opportunities. For her part, Reno-Basso stressed that Morocco is a key partner of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Noting that cooperation with the Kingdom has strengthened, especially during the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. She also shed light on the priority areas for the bank's work in Morocco, namely the development of the private sector, support for the transformation of public contracting, and the fight against social and spatial disparities, especially with Morocco's launch of social protection workshops and the digitization of management.
