Dubai (INA) – The Dubai Health Authority announced that a team of doctors managed to save an 8-month-old Afghan boy suffering from liver cancer. In a press release obtained by the Jordan News Agency (Petra) today, Wednesday, the authority stated that a medical team consisting of 3 doctors succeeded in removing a cancerous tumor from the child's liver, in a surgery that took more than 3 hours. The patient arrived at the hospital, suffering from pain in the upper abdomen, a tangible mass and swelling in the abdomen, and general weakness in the body. Examinations were conducted for the child, who weighs 8 kilograms, and it was found that there was a cancerous tumor in the liver, which required a medical decision to perform an operation to remove it.
