The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior seizes 5 million narcotic pills

Kuwait (INA) – The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced today, Friday, the seizure of about five million narcotic pills (Captagon) hidden in a professional way in a container coming from Turkey, with an estimated value of about 12 million Kuwaiti dinars. According to KUNA, the Security Information Department at the Ministry of Interior said in a press statement that Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lieutenant General Suleiman Al-Fahd supervised the investigation of this seizure while trying to bring it into the country, indicating that it is one of the largest number and professional seizures of drug smuggling. The statement quoted Lieutenant General Al-Fahd as saying that the successive strikes directed by the General Administration for Drug Control against white poison and drug dealers are the best evidence of the vigilance and readiness of the security services in preserving the security and safety of the people of Kuwait and ridding the people of society of this devastating scourge. He praised the sincere efforts of security men in the General Administration for Drug Control and workers in the General Administration of Customs and their ability to confront innovative criminal methods of drug smuggling with efficiency and competence.
