More than 23 arrests in the West Bank since the start of the genocide

Ramallah (UNA/WAFA) – The Palestinian Prisoners Club said that more than 23 arrests in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, were recorded in the aftermath of the genocide.
He explained in a report issued on this matter on Sunday that these data include all those who were arrested, whether those whom the occupation kept in detention, or those who were later released, including those who were arrested from their homes, or through military checkpoints, or those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, or those who were held as hostages.
The number of arrests among women reached more than (700) cases. This statistic includes women who were arrested from the 1948 territories, as well as from Gaza, and were arrested from the West Bank.
The number of arrests among children reached approximately (1800) cases.
The number of journalists arrested after the massacre exceeded 240, of whom 43 remain in detention, including three women. One journalist, Marwan Harzallah from Nablus, died in Israeli prisons.
The ongoing arrest campaigns in the aftermath of the genocide are accompanied by an escalation of violations, including torture and severe beatings, threats against detainees and their families, as well as widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens’ homes, confiscation of vehicles, money and gold jewelry, and widespread destruction of infrastructure, especially in the Tulkarm and Jenin camps.
In addition to arrest campaigns, the occupation forces also carry out field executions that sometimes target members of the detainees’ families, while escalating field investigations that have affected thousands in various governorates of the West Bank, as well as in the Gaza Strip.
