Makkah (UNA) – The Muslim World League (MWL) welcomed with great appreciation the joint statement issued by the Presidency of the High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Palestinian Issue and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on September 22, 2025, under the chairmanship of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic.
In a statement issued by the League's General Secretariat, His Excellency the Secretary-General and Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, congratulated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the entire Arab and Islamic world, and all countries of the world that love justice and peace, on the great success achieved by the conference, which resulted in unprecedented international commitments, the accompanying historic official recognition of the Palestinian state, the clear milestones it outlined, and the adoption of the "New York Declaration" announced during it with exceptional support from the United Nations General Assembly by a majority of 142 votes, thus consolidating the steadfast international commitment to the two-state solution and charting an irreversible path to building a better future for all peoples of the region.
Dr. Al-Issa reiterated the League's appreciation, on behalf of the Islamic peoples, for the steadfast position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the Palestinian cause, especially the tireless and pivotal efforts undertaken under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and with the close follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may God protect them - through the International Coalition to Implement the Two-State Solution launched by the Kingdom, as well as its chairmanship of the Joint Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee, and its sponsorship and presidency of this high-level international conference in partnership with the French Republic. With its success and the rallying of nations around it, the conference represents a victory for the voice of wisdom, justice, and values over the machine of war, destruction, and arrogance, and a decisive historical shift in the course of the Palestinian cause and the legal and historical right of the Palestinian people.
