RIYADH (UNA) – The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli occupation forces’ storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, closing its gates, and assaulting unarmed worshipers inside the mosque and in its outer courtyards, considering this systematic escalation a blatant assault on the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and its status in the conscience of the Islamic nation, and a violation of relevant international resolutions and covenants. The Kingdom called on the international community to play its role in holding the Israeli occupation forces fully responsible for the repercussions of the continuation of such crimes and violations on the defenseless Palestinian people, their land and holy sites, and on the chances of reviving the peace process in the Middle East.
