Manama (INA) – Bahrain condemned the Israeli occupation authorities' announcement of approving the construction of 566 new settlement units in the occupied city of Jerusalem. Stressing that this dangerous step reflects the Israeli insistence on continuing the rejected settlement policy. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement today, Wednesday, that the Israeli measure is a challenge to the will of the international community, a violation of the rights of the Palestinian people, a violation of international norms and laws, and a failure to comply with Security Council Resolution No. including East Jerusalem, and thwarting all efforts aimed at reviving the peace process and resuming negotiations between the Palestinians and the Israelis.
