Rabat (UNA) – Dr. Salim M. AlMalik, Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), received Abdulmajid Ghaith Saif Al-Nasr, Chargé d'Affaires of the Libyan Embassy in Rabat, at the organization’s headquarters on Wednesday, where they discussed developing cooperation between ISESCO and the State of Libya in the fields of education, science and culture, in light of the organization’s new vision and future work strategy. During the meeting, they discussed the obstacles facing the educational process in Libya, the measures that can be implemented to overcome these obstacles, and how to provide some programs to Libya, especially in safe areas, which are areas in dire need of providing some educational and teaching services, within the framework of ISESCO’s new vision, which focuses on issues of sustainable development, combating poverty, and confronting extremism and hate speech, and works to empower youth and women, support civil society, protect children, and educate refugees and displaced persons. The invitation of a delegation from the Libyan World Call Society, which is concerned with providing support and donations for charitable works, was discussed to discuss prospects for cooperation in joint areas of work. The Director General of ISESCO stressed the importance of attracting some Libyan talents to work in the organization, and inviting a Libyan thinker to be a guest at the ISESCO Cultural Forum.
