A cultural festival in the Kazan Kremlin highlights the heritage of Tatarstan.

Kazan (UNA) – A cultural festival kicked off in the Kazan Kremlin on August 27 and 28, with the participation of a number of artists and craftsmen, to promote the cultural heritage and artistic diversity of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The events include workshops on traditional crafts, including embroidery, weaving and lace making, as well as musical performances combining traditional folk instruments and electronic music, and theatrical and artistic performances by local artists.

The festival will also feature a tribute concert to the late Tatar singer Ilham Shakirov, who was chosen as the cultural event of the year for 2025, with the participation of the Yummy Music Band and a number of artists from Tatarstan, to present a selection of his most famous works with contemporary musical arrangements.

The program also includes fashion shows and national music, events that evoke the legacy of the Tatar poets Abdullah Tokay and Musa Jalil, along with various artistic and interactive activities.
