Appointment of a new head of the Supreme Council of Imams in Côte d'Ivoire

Abidjan (UNA) - Yesterday, Sunday (April 25, 2021), Imam Ousmane Diakite was appointed as the new President of the Supreme Council of Imams, Mosques and Islamic Affairs in Côte d'Ivoire, replacing Sheikh Mamadou Traoré, who passed away on April 13, 2021. The Imams Conference is scheduled to take place tomorrow. Tuesday, a meeting to approve the appointment of Imam Othman Diakiti, who was chosen by a transitional committee composed of seven personalities from the Supreme Council of Imams. Imam Othman Diakiti was born in 1956, and obtained a master's degree in public law in 1983 at Mohammed V University in Rabat. (I finish)
