The State of Qatar condemns Colombia's opening of its embassy in occupied Jerusalem.

Doha (QNA) – The State of Qatar expressed its condemnation and denunciation of the Republic of Colombia’s opening of its embassy to Israel in the occupied city of Jerusalem, and considered this step to be in violation of international law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions, particularly Security Council Resolution No. 478 of 1980.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed in a statement today that the State of Qatar rejects any measures that would change the legal and historical status of the city of Jerusalem, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities and act to counter any attempts to impose a new reality in the occupied city, in a way that preserves its legal and historical status and safeguards the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
